For Filmmakers

Free Account, Free Submissions

Spotrights is a new film portal for independent filmmakers, dedicated to helping filmmakers communicate industry professionals, manage portfolio, and promote your works.

With the basic admin tools, you can store film information in your personalized account, and from there, submit films to film festivals in a matter of a few clicks.

You can even make films available for on-line streaming. You don't need to send a preview copy to festivals anymore.

It's a fast and efficient way to organize your works, and will make you free from bothersome paperwork.

For Festivals

Find More Asian Films

For film festivals, it provides an ad space to publicize your entry call.

With our festival account, the details of your entry call will be listed on the Spotrights website to be viewed by filmmakers from around the world, especially Japan and other Asian countries.

You may have thousands of entries every year, and it requires a huge physical space to stock all the discs and tapes. Space is a big issue for all large festivals.

Why don't you register to Spotrights and watch films on-line. You'll need less storage space, and it will make your pre-screening a lot easier.

For Buyers

Only On-line Film Market in Japan

Along with SAPPORO Short Fest, a notable Japanese film festival dedicated to the art of short films, Sapporo has attracted significant attention of industry professionals, and is now recognized as a must visit destination.

Spotrights is also presented by Sapporo and it is a unified market section of the festival.

In addition to the films submitted every year (which amounts to more than 2,300 entries), Spotrights will list even more films registered for other festivals.

As a registered buyer, you can choose a charged option which will help you find films you are looking for. With the option, you can ask for submissions by putting up your information including the condition of your deal, and what kind of films you are looking for.

Spotrights is the only on-line film market in Japan.
